Over the years our growth has led to changes in our records management from a manual to an automated system. Due to the implementation of the Blood Bank Computer system in January of 2004 our new program will begin tabulating milestones beginning 02-01-04. Donors will continue to receive credit for donations prior to 02-01-04 as well but only those made after 02-01-04 will count toward this program. We have been working hard to offer some very nice items at frequent intervals. Donors will be awarded points per donation; 5 for a whole blood donation and 10 for a platelet pheresis donation*. Rewards are granted for each 40 point interval as follows:

• 120 Points WKRBC Stadium Blanket
• 160 Points WKRBC Chambray Shirt
• 200 Points WKRBC Short Sleeve Polo
• 240 Points WKRBC Long Sleeve Polo
• 280 Points WKRBC Fleece Sweatshirt
• 320 Points WKRBC Wind Breaker
• 360 Points WKRBC Terry Cloth Robe
• 400 Points WKRBC Hooded Coat

Donors will continue to be awarded 10 Gallon Plaques and Century Donor Watches as always in addition to the new rewards. Several donors are already eligible for Hats and Towels. A showcase will be placed in the lobby at each center. Order forms will be made available for donors to select item, color, and size. It is the donors responsibility to check eligibility and request the order form. Each item is custom embroidered with the WKRBC name and Logo. At the Owensboro Center, Vicki Ellis, will work with you to place the order, and Robbin Wise will coordinate orders for the Hopkinsville Center. Orders will be placed on a monthly basis in an effort to keep the program affordable. This is a new program for us and we are pleased to offer our donors these special rewards. Thanks to the Blood Bank Computer System we will be able to recognize you for being a consistent donor.
