“Serving our community as the CEO of the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center is both an honor and a privilege. Our mission to provide lifesaving blood products and related services to the local communities is completely dependent upon the generosity of our amazing blood donors. The best p[art of my job is seeing individuals in our community open their hearts and roll up their sleeves to their families, friends, and neighbors. The WKRBC staff inspire me and I am grateful to be a part of this life-saving community.”
— Carrie Wimsatt, CEO
Founded in 1978, Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center is Western Kentucky’s non-profit community Blood Center. That means community donors know the blood they give stays in their community first—helping family, friends, and neighbors.
The mission of Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center is to provide the much needed and most safe blood products and related services to our region.
WKRBC’s vision is a community of extraordinary people donating blood who save and enhance the lives of those in our community.
